Visit to Ocker Hill Infant School

In October 2019, I had a wonderful day at Ocker Hill Infant School in Tipton.  Every class had the opportunity to hear one of my stories, then we talked about how to design a character from every day things.

I also ran a competition for them to create a character for my Christmas Special Book.  I was so happy to receive so many wonderful designs.  It was very difficult to choose between them all.  Eventually I chose my favourite seven characters and incorporated them into my book.  The winners each received a signed copy of the book.​

Here are some of the comments I received back from the visit:​

I liked the parts when the blanket flew in the sky and the snowman.

After she read Grandma's Magic Blanket, it was really good seeing and actually touching the blanket she made for the story.

The children were very engaged by the story and Jacqueline.  They loved looking at the blanket, it helped with their imagination.
